Application of Xinhai High-efficiency Concentrated Hydrocyclones in Re-grinding System of Molybdenum Ore Concentrate

    After adopting the process of pre-selection of ore re-election and flotation, the process index of the mine is stable, the recovery rate of molybdenum is also improved, and the production cost is further reduced due to the decrease in the use of chemicals. The final recovery of molybdenum increased from 50% to 71.09%. Among them, in the process of concentration and regrind of coarse concentrate, it has encountered difficulties, and it has not been solved for a long time. It has been considered to be concentrated by a thickener. As a result, the sedimentation test is performed, and the effect is extremely poor, and then the cyclone is considered. Using domestically produced polyurethane straight through 100mm long cone cyclone, the overflow fineness is satisfactory, but the underflow concentration is only 35~40%, the concentration is too low (the optimum concentration is 55%) and the regrind effect is very poor. Almost all of the foam enters the cyclone overflow, with almost no foam in the underflow.     The design process is as follows: the coarse concentrate produced after flotation is first introduced into a concentrated grading cyclone, the overflow is selected into the next process, the grit is fed into the stripper and then ground, and then into the flotation column, the flotation column tailings Then enter the second-stage cyclone, the sedimentation of the second-stage cyclone enters the tailing process of the next process, and the overflow flows into the next process for fine flotation.

    The hydrocyclone is widely used as a highly efficient grading and concentrating equipment in concentrators. However, different forms of structure and materials have different effects due to different conditions. The mine originally used a polyurethane hydrodynamic cyclone, and the underflow concentration of the cyclone was about 40%. After entering the stripper and grinding again, the stripping machine was inefficient and could not meet the product particle size requirements. Yantai Xinhai Mining Machinery Co., Ltd. optimizes the structure of the cyclone feeding mode, column length, cone angle, internal overflow pipe insertion depth, etc., and increases the fish tail device at the sinking mouth, in the overflow pipe It is equipped with a siphon device to develop a new type of high-efficiency concentrated hydrocyclone. Compared with the conventional hydrocyclone, it has the advantages of high grit concentration, fine overflow particle size, high efficiency and low energy consumption.

    The new hydrocyclone feed body structure adopts a new type of feed mode, which significantly reduces the degree of turbulence, and the classification efficiency and the underflow concentration are significantly improved. The cyclone wear resistant material is a new type of oil resistant rubber (13945, -25.00, -0.18%) (oily substance in the slurry). Specially designed fishtail and siphon devices have the following features:

    1) Adjust the size of the underflow concentration by adjusting the siphon device to cause a change in the fishtail device.

    2) When the ore supply, the ore concentration, the ore pressure, etc. fluctuate within a certain range, the fishtail will also change accordingly, so that the underflow concentration can also be kept constant.

    The on-site coarse concentrate is 100-120 tons/day, -200 mesh accounts for 80%, and the concentration is 13-17%. The site consists of 3 XCNII150 cyclones and 3 XCII150 cyclones. The former acts as a staged concentration cyclone and the latter acts as a two-stage classifier cyclone.

    Through production practice, the two sets of cyclones produced by Yantai Xinhai have completely solved the problem of re-grinding of molybdenum coarse concentrate. The underflow concentration of the cyclone is better than the design index, and the underflow concentration of a cyclone (greater than 55%) The feed concentration of the stripper is reached, and the overflow particle size is not coarse, which satisfies the selection requirements of the flotation column in the next process. By adding this equipment, the molybdenum recycling grade can be increased by 9 points, bringing considerable economic income to the company. The unit has a small footprint, good classification and concentration effect, high process index, and has broad prospects for promotion in molybdenum coarse concentrate ore and similar processes.
