The bionic robot bird is currently in the prototype stage, its weight is 8 grams and will be launched via Bluetooth with a range of 100 meters. The 800 mA portable charger can charge about one hour through the USB port and double as a bionic bird chassis. Free iPhone and iPad apps can be downloaded and used to control birds. The program comes with two control modes, but all use touch to control the throttle, easy mode to guide the bird's acceleration, and hard mode uses touch-control steering. The inventor said that the Android version of the application will arrive at the Google Play Store in February 2015. The bionic bird costs $100 and includes a pair of replaceable wings.
