Box Alarm fire in Calumet Park, 12/22/18

Here are some photos taken at a Mabas Box fire in Calumet Park on Saturday morning, December 22nd, at 12320 S. Page Street. The fire broke out around 6:00 AM, and by the time the first emergency units arrived, the back of the building was already fully engulfed. The nearest fire hydrant was over 1,000 feet away, forcing crews to set up a water supply line to reach the scene. Despite the challenges, multiple fire departments responded quickly and worked together to control the blaze.
