China's first self-supporting high-speed rescue boat successfully tested

China's first self-supporting high-speed rescue boat, which was developed by Harbin Institute of Technology, was successfully tested in Shenzhen. This "magical" "water tumbler" is named SD (Hailong) 928J rescue boat. It takes less than two seconds from the inverted state to the self-recovery normal state in the sea. At present, the international self-supporting speed of the same type of speedboat is usually about 6 seconds.

The SD (Hailong) 928J has been successfully developed by the Transportation Department, Dalian Maritime University, Harbin Institute of Technology and Shenzhen Haisby Boat Technology Development Co., Ltd. for nearly two years. The high-speed rescue boat can quickly and automatically return to normal when it is overturned by heavy wind and waves. The researchers conducted a 360-degree flip test on the boat and the results met the design requirements.

This newly developed rescue boat is made of advanced composite materials with advanced production technology and is fully enclosed. The boat is 9 meters long, with a load of 16 people and a load of 5 tons. It is designed for severe weather conditions and has a wind resistance of up to 10 levels and allows the hull to remain unsinkable after all compartments have been damaged. In order to fully preserve the physical strength of the rescuers in carrying out their duties, special facilities such as safety chairs are used in the boats.
