Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China organized an expert to examine and approve key projects of the “Eleventh Five-Year†National Science and Technology Support Program “Key Technology Development of Non-Petroleum Routes for the Preparation of Key Chemicalsâ€.
The project addresses the growing shortage of petroleum resources and the continuing high oil price operation, and the lack of production of bulk chemicals in China. It develops and utilizes abundant natural resources and industrial waste gas, saves and partially replaces petroleum resources, and reduces the dependence of the development of the chemical industry on petroleum. The project completed two large-scale complete sets of technological development, 14 pilot tests, and 5 laboratory research and development. 11 individual software packages were compiled and 25 non-petroleum routes were prepared to produce ethylene, ethylene glycol, propylene, acrylic acid, Methanol, dimethyl ether and other bulk chemicals new process.
The implementation of this project has effectively promoted the technological advancement of non-oil routes for the preparation of bulk chemicals, provided technical support for accelerating the diversification of chemical raw materials and the transformation of process routes, and has significant social, economic and environmental benefits.
