NTN Corporation of Japan developed and introduced the "eccentric bearing ring integrated thrust needle roller bearing". With the integrated structure of the bearing ring, the life of the eccentricity within 0.5mm is extended to more than four times that of the old product (compared to the company's products) by improving the internal structure.
Thrust bearings used in the installation of the engine and torque converter are usually installed with the engine and torque converter in an eccentric condition. If eccentricity is not allowed, the bearing ring guard and the retainer will become hot and cause wear. Therefore, there are two requirements in the market: (1) allowing large eccentricity and long life; and (2) integrating the bearing ring and the retainer for the purpose of embedding. However, the bearings of the old structure can not meet these two functions. Either even if large eccentricity is allowed, the structure is still separate; either a one-piece structure is used, but a large eccentricity is not allowed.
Eccentric bearing ring integrated thrust needle roller bearing realizes long life by adopting the following three measures while realizing the integral structure of the bearing ring: (1) In order to make the gap between the bearing retainer and the bearing ring in the radial direction It is set to be larger than the eccentric amount, and the internal structure is improved; (2) FEM analysis is used to optimize the shape and thickness of the holder to improve the strength of the retainer; (3) to prevent surface damage caused by the reduction of lubricating oil. A guide groove is designed in the bearing ring. In addition, its integral structure is realized by using the bearing ring arm claw structure and the snap structure. By minimizing the number of parts, not only is cost control increased, but it is also easy for customers to perform assembly operations.
