Honglian wet gas transmission compressor was successfully put into operation
Recently, the wet gas external compressor at the Honglian Oil Production Plant under the Turpan Oil Production Plant was successfully commissioned. This project significantly boosted the pressure of the wet gas pipeline, which increased from 0.4 MPa to 0.8 MPa. At the same time, the external gas capacity rose from 34,000 cubic meters per day to 64,000 cubic meters per day. As a result, the venting of associated gas was reduced, ensuring a more stable supply of gas for the Hilly Light Hydrocarbon Plant. This improvement not only enhanced the production efficiency of light hydrocarbons in the hilly area but also achieved a win-win situation between resource utilization and environmental protection.
After the Red Link to the Hilly Wet Gas Pipeline was put into operation, the issue of over-saturation of natural gas at the Honglian Light Hydrocarbon Plant and the lack of gas supply for the Hilly Plant was initially resolved. However, due to the long pipeline length, the pressure difference between the upstream and downstream sections remained minimal, leading to insufficient pipeline pressure. This caused delays in delivering the natural gas to the destination, and the processing needs of the Hilly Light Hydrocarbon Plant were still not fully met.
To address this challenge, the Turpan Oil Production Plant conducted extensive research and analysis, and eventually proposed installing a wet gas compressor at the Honglian Integrated Station. The proposal was approved by the oilfield company. Once the equipment arrived on-site, the production and operation departments of the company coordinated closely with the oil production plant. After more than a month of intensive work, the installation was completed successfully.
During the trial operation of the compressor, some issues arose due to a mismatch in the pump models. In response, the on-site workers quickly organized themselves to replace the components. Following these adjustments, the compressor is now operating smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall improvement of the gas transportation system and supporting the continued development of the light hydrocarbon plant.
