CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (September 17, 2024) — Sur-Seal, a leader in custom sealing and converting solutions, is excited to announce the appointment of Pete Futia as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic move marks a significant step forward for the company as it continues to grow and expand its global footprint.

Futia brings a deep understanding of the converting industry, having spent over three decades in leadership roles across various sectors. He previously served as President of Sur-Seal’s manufacturing facilities and service centers in North Carolina, Ohio, Mexico, and China. Before joining Sur-Seal, he led Mueller Custom Cut as General Manager since 2005, a company that Sur-Seal acquired in 2021. His experience with 3M and his strong background in operations, sales, and marketing have prepared him well for this new challenge.

In addition to his professional achievements, Futia is actively involved in the industry through memberships on the IR/Trane supplier council and the 3M Converter Markets Advisory Council. Under his leadership, Mueller Custom Cut was consistently recognized as one of the top workplaces in Charlotte by the Charlotte Observer and was also nominated as a top family-owned business by the Charlotte Business Journal.
