On April 29th, I captured some images at a MABAS box in Lowell, Indiana. Although the address was in Lowell, the fire occurred within the jurisdiction of the Lake Dalecarlia Volunteer Fire Department. A local engine from Lowell was dispatched and drew water from a nearby pond, stretching nearly 1,000 feet of 5-inch hose to the scene. Most of the water used during the firefighting operation came directly from that pond, highlighting the resourcefulness and adaptability of the crews involved.
