Alfa Laval launches inline scrubber design

    According to René Diks, Marketing Manager, Exhaust Purification Systems, Alfa Laval, “The PureSOx exhaust purification system can be adapted to any ship navigation requirements through open-loop, closed-loop and hybrid configurations. By adding to the already flexible PureSOx exhaust purification system With the scrubber design, we have made PureSOx easier to adapt to individual ship construction."

         Inline scrubber design (I-design) is manufactured directly using PureSOx technology, providing ships with an additional and more complex structural requirement.

         According to Alfa Laval, one of the main considerations for designing an inline PureSOx scrubber is a steam-water separator, which is not naturally formed because it exists in existing U-shaped designs. Since the damper portion is located at the top of the jet portion of the inline scrubber design, there is no design of a steam separator between the two. Mainly through the internal steam separator and outboard configuration eliminates the possibility of water backflow.

         Since the inline scrubber design can be configured with multiple inlets, it is handled by multiple scrubbers from multiple sources, including boilers (purchasing supplies) and mainframes (purchasing supplies) and auxiliary machines (purchasing supplies) Exhaust gas saves space and installation costs.

         Another option for inline scrubber design configuration is reflow. This option is particularly attractive for cruise ships, passenger rolling ships (ship-type shipyards) and other passenger ships (ship-type shipyards), as recirculation reduces the risk of discoloration of the ship's deck caused by dirty water droplets.
