BMW announces price cuts for parts and components

After several companies such as Chrysler, Jaguar Land Rover, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz reduced the prices of new cars and parts, BMW, China Guangzhou Automobile and Toyota and Guangzhou Automobile Honda also issued separate announcements saying that they will adjust the prices of some components, including BMW. This is the second time this year, the prices of parts and components have been significantly reduced.

BMW announced that it will further reduce the wholesale prices of original parts and components since August 11. More than 2,000 products including bodywork, compressors, generators, batteries and brake discs will be reduced by an average of 20%. The body parts were down 45%, the generator down 40%, the battery down 25%, and the brake disc down 20%.

GAC Toyota announced that it will cut prices of some of its parts and components since August 18. However, it did not disclose the type of components involved and the extent of the downward adjustment.

Guangqi Honda also issued an announcement, announcing that it is actively responding to the NDRC's concerns on GAC Honda parts and other related fields. The above-mentioned auto companies have already reacted before the NDRC made an open statement. On July 25, Jaguar Land Rover China announced that it will make substantial adjustments to the prices of its three models, including the Land Rover Range Rover 5.0 V8. Followed by FAW-Volkswagen Audi, in an official statement issued on July 26, said it will take the initiative from August 1 to reduce the price of the original parts of the domestic models. After Jaguar Land Rover and Audi announced price cuts for a week, on August 3, Mercedes-Benz announced that it would cut the price of some repair parts of its models from September, and the average price reduction would be 15%.
