Team manager Håkan Pettersson explained: “Six years ago, we used the delivery vehicle equipped with Allison 3000 series gearboxes for the first time. Today, there are already ten trucks equipped with Allison transmissions . In short-haul shipments, vehicles equipped with Allison transmissions are significantly more advantageous than vehicles equipped with manual or AMT transmissions. This saves time while also minimizing vehicle drivetrain wear.”

    Improve productivity

Most delivery vehicle drivers follow a fixed route. According to Pettersson, the driver thinks that driving a truck equipped with an Allison transmission can increase work efficiency. In addition, Allison's Continuous Power TechnologyTM makes shifting smoother and more comfortable. Drivers no longer have to worry about failure.

"Low maintenance costs are another big advantage of Allison transmissions," Pettersson said. "In the past when using manual gearboxes, clutches were often replaced, and these problems are now avoided. Because we switched to Allison transmissions, The downtime has been greatly reduced. In the past six years, we have avoided the problems caused by gearbox failures. The longest-running automatic truck has traveled nearly 170,000 miles so far."

FuelSense® Fuel Saving Technology Strategy Fuels More Fuel

Pettersson said that Allison automatic transmissions can perform seamless shifts at optimal engine speeds with fuel-efficient advantages. Allison Transmission recently introduced FuelSense fuel-saving technology strategy, saving up to 20%.

Vehicles that use FuelSense's fuel-efficient technology strategy are more fuel efficient each time they start and stop, and technology is easy to integrate, making it the best choice for distribution vehicles.
