Becker introduces new low-cost compact battery system

Recently, Becker Marine Systems introduced a new low-cost compact battery system.
The system is a battery system based on lithium-ion battery technology and is currently in the experimental phase. As a product that can be combined with a hybrid drive, it is expected to be delivered to users in the summer of 2017.
It is reported that Becker has received the first batch of orders for passengers and ferries equipped with such battery systems. Hyundai Heavy Industries has now ordered Becker Marine Systems, including the Becker Performance Kit with the rudder ball and the Becker Mewis Duct. The company also received orders for Imabari Shipbuilding and New Age Shipbuilding in Japan.
