The US-China Trade Committee has issued a report a few days ago that China is one of the fastest growing markets for exports of industrial products and agricultural products in the United States, and exports to China are of great significance for stimulating U.S. economic development.
The report issued by the committee on the 30th pointed out that China is currently the third largest export market for the United States in the world, and that the United States has increased its exports to China more rapidly than other major markets.
Fu Qiangnen, chairman of the US-China Trade National Committee, pointed out that the size of US exports to China is second only to its neighbors, Canada and Mexico. In the past decade, US exports to China have soared from 16.2 billion U.S. dollars to 91.9 billion U.S. dollars; Companies of all sizes in the United States are exporting computers, agricultural products, transportation equipment, and mechanical products to the ever-growing market in China.
The report shows that in 2010, nearly half of the states in the United States exported more than one billion U.S. dollars to China, which is more than three times more than five years ago.
The US-China Trade National Committee is a non-governmental, non-profit organization with more than 200 U.S. member companies that do business in China.
