CTP Accessories develops a heald frame for high speed weaving
As the speed of modern looms continues to increase, traditional heald frames often begin to produce unusual noises, which can affect both performance and durability. In response to this challenge, the Belgian CTP accessory company has introduced the Hybrid-Power 151 steel heald frame, specifically designed to meet the demands of high-speed weaving operations. This innovative frame is constructed using a unique combination of lightweight aluminum and high-strength carbon fiber, resulting in a structure that is 50% stronger than conventional designs. The flexible R-type connection between the frame and its support system helps reduce stress on the heald frame, improving stability and longevity.
Another key advancement is the patented bonded rod design, which enhances the structural integrity of the entire heald frame while eliminating the need for rivets—methods that previously led to fatigue fractures over time. Additionally, the Hybrid-Power 151 features a cushioning shock absorber, similar to the one used in the XLF153 model, which further reduces vibration and wear. A new center support has also been integrated, significantly reinforcing the critical 1/3 grip drive point, thereby increasing the overall rigidity and performance of the heald frame. These improvements make the Hybrid-Power 151 an ideal solution for high-speed looms seeking enhanced reliability and efficiency.
