Fiat intends to dismiss 2,700 employees temporarily Fiat Auto Italy planned to lay off approximately 2,700 employees in January 2004 for a period of one week. From January 26th to February 1st next year, the production of the Fiat Turin factories Fiat Multipla, Lycacia Lybra and Thesis, and the Alpha 166 will be affected.
