Recently, Ford Motor (China) Co., Ltd. submitted a recall report to the AQSIQ, and will recall some of the 2015 imported Lincoln MKC vehicles from January 21, 2015.
Recalled Vehicle Range: The 2015 imported Lincoln MKC vehicles produced between August 20, 2013 and September 09, 2014, according to the company's statistics, involved 1,892 vehicles in mainland China.
Reason for recall: There is a hidden danger in the one-button start button of the vehicle within the recall range. The position of the button is at the lower part of the shift button. When the proximity button is operated, the one-touch start button may be accidentally pressed, causing the engine to stall. If the one-button start button is accidentally pressed while driving, the seat belt and airbag may not work properly in the event of an impact, which increases the risk of personal injury.
Solution: Ford Motors (China) Co., Ltd. authorized Lincoln brand imported car dealers will replace the position of the one-button start button for vehicles within the recall range, and the dealer will reprogram the power system control module to eliminate Security risks.
