In 2009, the production and sales of commercial vehicles in Shandong Province were 809,200 and 805,300, an increase of 66.39% and 63.05% year-on-year, 33.37 and 34.66 percentage points higher than the national industry, respectively. National production and sales volume were 23.75% and 24.3%.
Among them, Shandong produced 21.35 million heavy-duty trucks, an increase of 34.54% year-on-year, accounting for 49.46% of the country's total production and sales; and 582,100 light-duty trucks, an increase of 70.04% over the same period of last year. National production and sales volume was 35.89%.
