[Technical Knowledge] Iris Building and Service Platform Construction

The construction of the iris and the unified foreign service is the two major focuses of the construction of the Iris Unified Service Platform. The goal is to provide uniform entrance and exit of iris identity verification for public security organs at all levels. The iris data acquired by the front-end personnel are stored in the standard image format and stored in the library, and the iris algorithm vendor logo and iris feature template are attached. This not only takes into account the interoperability of different identification devices, but also takes into account the efficiency of iris recognition applications. The unified service provides unified export for all kinds of large-scale applications. The logical architecture of the iris database and unified service platform is shown in Figure 1.

The establishment of the iris includes the following steps:

(1) Key personnel iris database. Establish a national central iris database, which can be set up in the central repository according to local city and municipalities. And according to personal identity information, iris data can be classified and managed effectively. The classification includes various basic personal information and personal history records. At the same time, taking into account the complementarity and close correlation between iris recognition and face recognition, the interface and space for face building libraries are reserved when the iris recognition library is built. After the completion of the database, an effective search and inquiry system for criminal suspects was formed nationwide, effectively eliminating the suspect's counterfeit identity.

(2) Database acquisition scope. Public security bureaus, sub-bureaus, police stations, prisons and other criminal suspects in special areas.

(3) Iris collection. The fixed/portable iris recognition device is used to collect in a fixed place or on-site, and through the iris image quality evaluation module, the quality of the static iris image captured by different collection devices is checked to ensure the quality of the stored image.

(4) Transmission method. Through the public security information network, the Internet, and portable storage media, image features are transmitted and transmitted to the central database in accordance with the security model.

Iris unified service platform is positioned as a high-performance identity authentication platform of the public security system, with iris recognition technology as the core, the internal network of the public security system and the Internet network as the information exchange platform, and the central data warehouse and distributed database in combination to achieve identity authentication.

The establishment of a unified service platform includes the following key tasks:

(1) Formulate iris construction standard for iris scale application in public security business, and normalize identification data format.

(2) Set up a high-performance iris identity authentication and unified service platform for the public information network and the Internet as the information exchange platform.

(3) Establish a central iris database and a secondary iris database for each city unit.

(4) Completion of data transmission and exchange agreement between databases, databases, and portable iris recognition devices.

(5) For the iris platform to query the user's identity authorization.
