The secret of truck burning diesel

    First of all, diesel is a light petroleum product, a mixture of complex hydrocarbons (about 10 to 22 carbons). Mainly divided into light diesel oil (boiling range of about 180 ~ 370 °C) and heavy diesel (boiling range of about 350 ~ 410 °C) two categories. Light diesel oil is mainly used for automobiles and trucks, and heavy diesel oil is mainly used for heavy machinery and medium and small ships. The latter has a higher density than the former, a higher calorific value, a higher burning point and a more viscous one. Because the characteristics are stable and the ignition point is low, it can be ignited without worrying about the deflagration phenomenon. A large combustion chamber can be made, and gasoline cannot. If petrol is cranky and kerosene is cheerful, then diesel's character can be described as stable. Compared with gasoline, diesel fuel has a high energy density and a low fuel consumption rate, but the exhaust gas contains more harmful components (NO, particulate matter, etc.).

    Large diesel engine

    Because diesel engines have higher thermal efficiency, higher power, lower fuel consumption and more economical than gasoline engines, they are becoming more widely used. And for some ships and heavy machinery, because of the high load required, there is no requirement for speed increase, but the power and torque (especially torque) are highly demanded. The high calorific value of diesel and the high compression ratio of diesel engine can be more fully utilized. Its energy, although the speed does not go up, but the power is strong that is not comparable to the gasoline engine.

    Light diesel engine

    As high-speed diesel engines (for automotive use) are more fuel efficient than gasoline engines, the demand for diesel is growing faster than gasoline, and some small cars are also switching to diesel. For trucks using light diesel oil and some domestic cars, the advantages of simple diesel engines, high reliability, and low fuel consumption stand out because they do not have much demand for acceleration performance. In addition, the diesel engine will also deposit carbon, but the diesel engine is not very sensitive to the adverse effects of carbon deposition.

    Therefore, currently diesel engines are generally suitable for trucks. This is why most of the current trucks are burning diesel.
