The industry has formed a new wave of price increases.
It is understood that since late September last year, the important rubber production area in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan continued high temperature and dryness. During this time, precipitation was over 58% less than the same period of the year. As a result of continued drought, it has brought about a large reduction in rubber production. Statistics show that the price of rubber for general tires is currently between 24,000 yuan and 25,000 yuan per ton, which represents an increase of 100% compared with the same period of last year.
However, some Chongqing dealers believe that the current domestic tire production capacity is still relatively surplus, and the market is fully competitive, and it is difficult to form a large-scale price increase. The impact of drought on tire prices may not be reflected until 3 to 6 months later.
