They adopted the method of sealing all the well covers with oil-impregnated felt cloth, then blocking the seams with cement, and finally filling the surface of the manhole cover to eliminate the hidden dangers of contaminants flowing into the wells during parking.
The earliest and last stop of environmental protection facilities is also an important means for the company to achieve green maintenance. "During the stop period, each production plant opened the plant's water storage system, paid close attention to the amount of sewage produced, monitored the 24-hour real-time monitoring of the water storage system, and notified monitoring information at any time to ensure that the sewage did not leave the factory," said Zhang Chunyu. Jilin Petrochemical strengthened its waste management and established warning lines and warning signs at storage sites. It is forbidden for outside construction personnel to enter at random. The management of inspection and repair operations in these areas was upgraded, and the inspection and handover system was strictly implemented in the process operations to prevent leakage.
Waste materials such as waste catalysts generated during the maintenance process are also major hazard sources and important environmental pollution factors. Jilin Petrochemical carries out classifications such as incineration, solidification and landfilling according to the procedures of receiving, storing, and disposing, grasps important links and key points, formulates a sound management system, and implements step-by-step confirmation. During the process of dumping the waste, the company's designated professionals perform full-scale supervision and supervise the operation personnel to carry out divisional burial of the waste according to its nature, so as to ensure that the buried material is available upon arrival.
"Through all the staff, we are now coordinating and managing all the major production facilities that have been delivered and overhauled. There has been no environmental pollution incident and we have achieved a green maintenance goal," said Zhang Chunyu.
