Secret Beijing New Auto Show

From June 9th to June 17th, the 8th Beijing International Auto Show will take place at the Beijing International Exhibition Center. As one of the most anticipated events in the domestic automotive industry this year, major car manufacturers from both China and abroad are expected to showcase their latest innovations and models. According to reports from journalists, this year’s event is set to become a battleground for new car releases, with numerous global and local brands preparing to make their debuts. Internationally, Mercedes-Maybach, BMW 6 Series, BMW X3, and MINI Convertible are all expected to be unveiled at the show. This marks the first time that the world’s top luxury brands—Mercedes-Maybach, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley—are competing on the same stage in Beijing. Ford and Toyota, though not publicly announcing new models, are also making a strong presence. Ford will occupy the largest exhibition space of 5,000 square meters, showcasing its Lincoln, Mazda, Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, and Aston Martin brands. Alongside these, various iconic concept cars and even a special display celebrating Ford’s 100-year legacy will be featured. On the domestic front, Dongfeng Nissan’s TEANA is set to make its debut, with a 100% chance of being showcased. The model, previously known as "Demeanor" in China, has been renamed "Scorpio," with engine options increasing from 2.3L to 3.5L. Its arrival is expected to put pressure on popular models like the Honda Accord and Volkswagen Passat. Meanwhile, Changan Ford’s 2.5L Mondeo and Dongfeng Peugeot 307 are also likely to be revealed. Additionally, FAW Toyota’s Crown, which was originally scheduled for a 2024 release, may appear earlier this year at the Beijing Auto Show, as competition intensifies in the luxury segment. With rising competition driven by domestic luxury brands like BMW and Audi, Toyota is eager to maintain its position in the market. Although it has a strong presence in the economy car segment, the luxury market remains a challenge. By launching the Crown ahead of schedule, Toyota aims to stay ahead of its rivals and reinforce its brand image in China. This year’s Beijing Auto Show promises to be an exciting event, filled with new models, innovative technologies, and fierce competition among automakers. Whether you're a car enthusiast or a potential buyer, there's something for everyone at this prestigious international event.
