Asahi Kasei FDK Energy Equipment Company (AFEC) will be listed as a lithium-ion capacitor power storage device new products. The product is the world's smallest 15-volt module, primarily for averaging solar load. Sample supply will begin in November and mass production will start in June 2014. AFEC plans to first produce 200 units a month and increase production according to the actual conditions later. AFEC was established as a joint venture between Asahi Kasei Corporation of Japan and FDK Corporation, a unit of Fujitsu Limited for battery operation.
Lithium-ion capacitor refers to the combination of the use of the electric double-layer capacitor and lithium-ion rechargeable battery anode structure of the mixed structure of storage components. Dimensions of the new product 50 mm wide, 210 mm long, 200 mm high, horizontal, vertical and overlapping place, flexible connection and configuration.
