The reporter learned from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers last week that China’s new energy vehicle production and sales exceeded 12,000 vehicles throughout the year.
Last year, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles increased by 98.8% and 103.9% respectively compared with 2011. According to incomplete statistics from the China Automobile Industry Association, last year China produced 12,552 new energy vehicles, of which 1.125 were pure electric vehicles and 1,311 were plug-in hybrids. It sold 12,791 new energy vehicles, 1.1,375 pure electric vehicles and 1,416 hybrid electric vehicles.
