CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (September 17, 2024) — Sur-Seal, a leading name in custom sealing and converting solutions, has officially named Pete Futia as its new Chief Executive Officer. This strategic move marks a new chapter for the company as it continues to expand its global footprint and enhance its service offerings.

Futia brings extensive experience in the converting industry, having previously served as President of Sur-Seal’s manufacturing facilities and service centers across North Carolina, Ohio, Mexico, and China. He also played a key role in the successful integration of Mueller Custom Cut, which Sur-Seal acquired in 2021. Prior to that, he led the company as General Manager since 2005, driving growth and operational excellence.

With over three decades of experience in general management, operations, and sales and marketing, Futia has built a strong reputation in the industry. His career includes a notable tenure at 3M, where he contributed significantly to the company's success. He is actively involved in several industry councils, including the IR/Trane supplier council and the 3M Converter Markets Advisory Council.

Under his leadership, Mueller Custom Cut was recognized as one of the top workplaces in Charlotte and was nominated as a top family-owned business by the Charlotte Business Journal.
