PPSU - Polyphenylsulfone Ensinger TECASON P plastic
The PPSU semi-finished products produced by Ensinger usually use Radel® PPSU as the raw material, which can provide two forms of sheet and rod, which can be used for machining.
PPSU plastic is an amorphous material with a high glass transition temperature and low moisture absorption. In addition, PPSU material has better impact strength and chemical resistance than other polysulfone materials such as PSU and PES. In addition to these properties, PPSU materials are more resistant to hot steam sterilization than other polysulfone materials, and are resistant to detergents and disinfectants.

TECASON P MT XRO black is a specially developed X-ray visible and biocompatible PPSU (polyphenylsulfone) material. This line of materials allows us to meet the challenging requirements of minimally invasive and image-controlled surgery. It is made radio-opaque by adding a contrast agent to standard medical grade PPSU material. Machined parts made using it are clearly visible under fluoroscopy and x-rays. By using the material, surgical instruments and orthopedic implant trial heads are clearly imaged during image-controlled surgery. Medical grade PPSU materials have greatly improved in terms of temperature resistance, impact strength, and chemical resistance, and are very resistant to repeated steam high temperature sterilization (maintaining good dimensional stability and physical properties). TECASON P MT XRO material has passed the ISO 10993 test. As a medical grade material, it can be in contact with human body fluids, bone substances and dentin for no more than 24 hours, and has a variety of colors and sizes to choose from.
