I came across a post recently where Isaac Main mentioned that Caterpillar had acquired a quint for one of their locations in the Peoria area. While he wasn't sure exactly which location this truck was destined for, he decided to share some photos of the firefighting equipment they have at the Peoria Proving Grounds. As far as he knows, there’s no additional information beyond what you can see in the images.
The rig shown in the photos includes a 4×4 Peterbilt/Alexis fire engine, a Chevy Suburban acting as an ambulance, and a 4×4 Ford F-250 serving as a HAZMAT response vehicle. It’s clear that Caterpillar takes emergency preparedness seriously, given the range of specialized vehicles they’ve assembled at this facility.
I’ve included some of the photos Isaac shared below. You can really get a sense of the scale and detail of their firefighting arsenal. These images highlight the impressive setup they maintain to ensure safety across their operations.

These photos paint a vivid picture of the extensive resources Caterpillar has in place to support their workforce and facilities. It’s always interesting to see how companies like Caterpillar prepare for potential emergencies, especially when it involves such specialized vehicles. If anyone has more insight into these acquisitions or the specific roles each vehicle plays, feel free to chime in!
