Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share something really special that I got to experience recently. On Thursday, May 28, 2015, I was fortunate enough to attend another swearing-in and promotion ceremony at the Wheaton Fire Department. It’s always such an inspiring event to see these dedicated individuals take their commitment to the next level.
This time around, we welcomed two new firefighters into the team:
- **Nick Mellinger**
- **Matt Ackerman**
They’re stepping into this role with great promise and determination.
On the promotion front, there were some fantastic advancements within the leadership ranks:
- **Chris Hunecke**, **Mike Byas**, and **Mike Franzone** have been promoted to Lieutenant. These guys have been instrumental in leading by example, and their new roles reflect their hard work and dedication.
- **Jeff MacKay** and **Pete Vassios** have been elevated to Assistant Chief positions. Their strategic vision and leadership skills will undoubtedly drive the department forward.
A huge round of applause to all of them for their achievements!
