So this came through from Steve Redick earlier today. He mentioned that he took a drive out to this particular address—9129 Washington Avenue in Brookfield—on Tuesday. When he finally made it there, there wasn't much left for him to check out besides some rig shots. It seems like things were already winding down by the time he arrived.
Attached here are several photos taken by Steve himself. The first one shows a North Riverside FD fire engine on the scene. It’s an impressive sight, especially with how well-maintained these vehicles look. Following that, we’ve got an E-ONE aerial ladder truck positioned strategically at the fire scene. You can tell just how crucial these kinds of trucks are during operations like these. There’s another angle of the same E-ONE truck in action, showcasing its capabilities and importance in managing large-scale incidents.
Next up is a Lagrange Park FD fire engine, which looks ready for any situation thrown its way. Then there’s a Western Springs FD fire engine, looking sharp and prepared. The Riverside FD also has their own fire truck present, adding to the overall coordination effort. Moving along, we have the Lyons FD fire engine, which seems to be standing by as part of the backup plan. McCook FD also sent over one of their fire engines, reinforcing the teamwork among departments.
There’s another shot featuring multiple fire trucks gathered together, highlighting the collaborative nature of firefighting efforts. Finally, there’s yet another close-up of the E-ONE aerial ladder truck in action. These images really capture the scale and intensity of what must have been quite an eventful day for everyone involved.
