This is from Larry Shapiro:
I witnessed a reported rollover with entrapment Saturday afternoon, just a block from my home. I arrived before any fire units and found a single-vehicle crash with no entrapment. The car was a Lexus SUV that had sustained major damage. One occupant was outside the vehicle, while the other had run about a block before being stopped by police. Both were taken to the hospital — one via BLS and the other via ALS.
The reason I'm sharing these photos without any fire department involvement has to do with the nature of the crash and something that's been on my mind since: maybe it wasn't their time yet.
The car veered off the road, hit a utility pole, then struck a metal fence post. It rolled over, crushing two sections of a wooden fence, with two 4x4 posts piercing the windshield — but both occupants were unharmed, barely missing the impact.

A few inches in either direction could have resulted in a far more serious outcome.
