From what I've gathered, there was a significant garage fire in Winthrop Harbor at 207 Oakdale Avenue. Beach Park, Newport, Zion, and Pleasant Prairie, WI all provided assistance. Zion's Engine 1811 was the first unit on the scene and reported smoke with no visible flames coming from a metal pole barn garage. Firefighters discovered flames in the rafters, but they faced challenges gaining access due to extensive storage inside the building. The incident commander upgraded the situation to a "Working Still" status, bringing in additional resources from Great Lakes and Gurnee.

It seems like the fire spread rapidly through the stored materials inside the garage. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries, but it's clear that the local departments worked hard to contain the blaze before it could spread further.
