House fire in East Chicago, IN 2/18/15

I stopped by the house fire in East Chicago after finishing a job in Whiting. The crew was already in overhaul, but there was still some light smoke coming out. The address was on the 1200 block of W. 151st Street. It's kind of ironic because Station 2 was less than 500 feet away from the scene.

Itâ€™s always interesting to see how quickly crews respond and how close they are to the scene. I took a few photos while I was there, just to capture the aftermath and the location.
